Andrew C Sleigh MA FInstP CPhys

Andrew Sleigh’s experience spans senior leadership positions and strategic transformation in both the private and public sectors. He has created and led highly motivated teams in a series of senior executive positions with a strong focus on innovation and the creation of value through technology.

His experience includes being Group Chief Technology Officer at QinetiQ plc, being Group MD for QinetiQ's Defence and Technology Sector with turnover of £650M, being Director General with responsibility for all Ministry of Defence information and communications services (ie the MOD CIO), was Director of the MOD's Centre for Defence Analysis, and was a practicing research physicist who was a central player in the development of thermal imaging and advanced pattern processing techniques.

He has held many advisory positions, including the OFCOM Spectrum Management Board, the National Defence Industry Council R&G Committee, The Enineering and Technology Strategic Panel of the British Computer Society, and the British Pattern Recognition Society. He is curently Vice Chair of the Security Advisory Group to the Framework Programme of the European Commission. He is an Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School, Honary Fellow of Worcester University and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
